In 1993, Markus Hipp began developing prototypes and designs for medical implants and instruments and founded HIPP Präzisionstechnik. The company gradually evolved into a highly capable partner in the fields of medical technology, aerospace engineering, as well as high-tech segments of mechanical and plant engineering and the automotive industry. With a comprehensive range of services, the HIPP Technology Group today employs more than 200 people.

A key milestone was reached in 2008 with the founding of HIPP medical AG, enabling the company to consistently align its diverse offerings with the specific requirements of the medical technology sector. Since 2022, HIPP medical AG has been based in a modern new facility with state-of-the-art infrastructure in Renquishausen.

In 2024, the HIPP Technology Group further strengthened its market position and expanded its product portfolio through the acquisition of MK Medical. MK Medical specializes in the manufacture of orthopedic implants, with a strong focus on Kirschner wires, Steinmann pins, and fixation pins made from various materials. With the addition of MK Medical’s product groups, the Group is now even more broadly positioned to serve its customers and can offer compelling end-to-end solutions from a single source.
