Sustainability and Responsible Investment

Long-term entrepreneurial success and financial returns – for Deutsche Beteiligungs AG as an investor and fund advisor, or for our portfolio companies – will only be possible if economic sustainability is firmly anchored within the corporate strategy and investment are done in responsible manner. Risks must be managed or mitigated, and opportunities must be seized while promoting positive impacts and reducing negative ones. Therefore, we consistently cover environmental, social and governance aspects internally and along the entire investment process.

DBAG’s internal efforts are steered by clearly defined Sustainable Business Practices that cover our initiatives regarding resource efficiency, employee engagement and compliance.

Our Responsible Investment Policy secures a robust baseline for our efforts with regards to responsible investing. It serves as a recommended course of action and guideline for our investment professionals. For our portfolio companies, it is meant to be understood as a clear expression of our expectations for dealing with sustainability issues.
